Harshana Kekunawela, an additional Magistrate in Colombo, ordered the Borella police to obtain analysis reports on four phones and report findings to the court today (20). Magistrates issued this order in connection with the judicial investigation into the murder of prominent businessman Mr Dinesh Shafter.
The Magistrate made this order in response to Borella police’s request for an analytical report on four phone numbers associated with this incident.
The Borella Police informed the court that they had recorded the statements of Mr. Dinesh Shafter’s wife and two employees of the company where he worked.
After examining the facts presented by the police, the magistrate adjourned the case and directed the Borella Police to investigate the incident and report back to the court.
