Former Minister of State Mrs Diana Gamage withdrew her petition from the Supreme Court today (17), which sought to challenge Samagi Jana Balawegaya’s decision to revoke her position as a Member of Parliament.
During the hearing, Mrs Gamage’s lawyers stated that there was no longer a need to proceed with the petition and requested the court’s permission to withdraw it.
The Supreme Court granted the request and allowed the withdrawal of the petition.
