A DP EDUCATION IT CAMPUS, which teaches free AI, coding and robotics to all Sri Lankans in order to develop the digital technology as well as communication and thinking skills of Sri Lankans, was recently opened at the Uddhakandhara Rajamaha Vihara premises in Tissamaharama. Sri Lanka Latest News
The institute was inaugurated under the chairmanship of Mr. Dhammika Perera, the millionaire businessman who is the founder and chairman of the Dhammika Perera and Priscilla Perera Foundation.
The DP EDUCATION IT campus project, which was started with the aim of providing free information technology knowledge to the children of Daye, has now completed 6 months.
Within the past 6 months, 50 IT campuses have been opened at the divisional secretariat level and the number of students receiving free education is 40000.
Mr. Dhammika Perera’s goal is to open 110 IT campuses in this manner within a year, and to open 331 IT campuses with one IT campus for each divisional secretariat.
AI, CODING, ROBOTICS courses are taught free of charge from DP EDUCATION IT campus and this program is implemented jointly with Ruhunu, Kelani and Moratu universities.
