Despite the speech ban, Sajith decides to attend today’s finance committee meeting I Sri Lanka Latest News

It is reported that despite a ban on speaking in the Parliamentary Finance Committee, the opposition leader Sajith Premadasa has decided to participate in the Finance Committee meeting today. Sri Lanka Latest News

This meeting is scheduled to be held today at 2 pm in Parliament.

The government had planned to present and pass the proposal related to local debt restructuring to the finance committee yesterday and today and because of that, the opposition leader had decided to come to this committee yesterday and question this.

But due to strong opposition from the ruling party, Chairman Harsha de Silva finally decided to hold a poll.

It was decided that the Leader of the Opposition could participate in the Finance Committee but not be given the opportunity to ask questions.
