Six candidates have applied for the post of Vice-Chancellor of Sabaragamuwa University. Among them, three who got the highest marks were nominated according to the order of marks and sent in writing to the University Grants Commission to get the President’s approval.

According to that document, Senior Professor R.M.U.S.K. Ratnayake is mentioned at the top among the scorers. He had 82.9 points. The second scorer was Professor Ampitiyawatta and he scored 60.9 points. According to the relevant document, among the rest, Professor Sunil Shanta with a score of only 60.6 points.

Out of the six candidates who appeared for the post of Vice-Chancellor of Sabaragamuwa University, the remaining three got 57.9, 55.3 and 51.7 marks.

Based on these scores, the Governing Council of Sabaragamuwa University sent the three highest scorers and their list of scores to the University Grants Commission.
