The Deputy Minister of Irrigation recently visited the Kala Wewa area to assess a water leak that has appeared on the embankment.
According to the Minister, the water leak is approximately 40 years old and poses no immediate threat.
However, environmentalists and local residents have expressed concerns, warning that if prompt action is not taken, it could lead to significant risks in the future.
Additionally, it was reported that a treasure was removed from a location near the tank embankment about a month ago.
This situation continues to raise concerns among both the public and experts alike.
