Deputy Minister Chaturanga Abeysinghe stated that the extension of judges’ retirement age will be implemented as a mandatory measure. He further said that he would welcome a statement from the Bar Association regarding the former Minister of Justice or the former minister’s son.
Speaking on the matter, the Deputy Minister reiterated that the extension of the retirement age for judges would be enforced without exception. He also remarked that he would be pleased if the Bar Association issued a statement concerning the former Minister of Justice or his son.
