Deputy Minister of Health Hansaka Wijayamuni has stated that a disciplinary investigation should be initiated against National Hospital Deputy Director Dr. Rukshan Bellana, following his comments to the media regarding the health condition of former President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Speaking at a press conference, the Deputy Minister emphasized that Dr. Bellana had no authority to disclose any patient’s medical information to the media. He further noted that some of the details shared about the former President’s health condition were inaccurate.
