Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition, said that many students of the Inter-University Student Union who protested peacefully using their democratic rights have been arrested and that the government should immediately reveal the basis on which this arbitrary process was carried out.
He also said that the government is implementing state militia, state terrorism and arresting people arbitrarily.
The leader of the opposition questioned how the government would support such an undemocratic and arbitrary process while the opposition is ready for it while asking for support for an all-party program.
