The CSE Education Academy proudly celebrated the outstanding achievements of students who successfully completed the Certificate Course in Financial Markets (CCFM) at the inaugural CCFM Awards Ceremony, underscoring the CSE Education Academy’s commitment to advancing financial literacy and capital market education.

The CCFM program is designed to provide foundational knowledge of financial markets, equipping individuals with a comprehensive understanding of informed financial decision-making. The course consists of a structured curriculum covering three key modules that cover investment fundamentals, stock selection techniques, and the analysis of financial statements, with instruction from a distinguished panel of lecturers, including industry experts and leading academics.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Tharaka Amarasena, Manager of the CSE Education Academy mentioned, “We take immense pride in the 104 students who have successfully completed this course, reflecting the growing interest in Sri Lanka’s financial market. This trilingual, online program has equipped you with essential knowledge to navigate the financial landscape with confidence. For those looking to build on this foundation, the Advanced Diploma in Financial Markets (ADFM) offers a direct pathway to enhance expertise, drive growth, and unlock career opportunities.”

Addressing the graduates, chief guest, CSE CEO Mr. Rajeeva Bandaranaike stated, “Our mission is to create a financially savvy society—one where individuals can confidently engage in investments, understand market trends, and contribute positively to the nation’s economy. This Certificate Course is a step toward achieving this goal, and it is encouraging to see both students and investors embracing this opportunity to enhance their knowledge.”

Commending the awardees on the significance of their achievements, keynote speaker Mr. Dhananath Fernando, CEO of the Advocata Institute, said, “Financial literacy empowers individuals to make informed decisions, invest wisely, and build sustainable wealth. As certificate holders of the CSE Education academy, you now have the basic knowledge and tools to navigate this landscape effectively. The Colombo Stock Exchange and other investment avenues provide opportunities for financial growth—opportunities that, when leveraged wisely, can lead to long-term prosperity.”

The Certificate Course in Financial Markets is designed to bridge the gap in financial education by providing structured learning opportunities that empower individuals with the basic knowledge necessary to navigate the complexities of financial markets, making it an ideal starting point for students, investors, or individuals seeking to expand their financial competency, particularly if they have little to no prior understanding of the market.

The CCFM provides a strong foundation for those planning to become an investor, pursue a career in finance, or simply wish to secure their financial future. Successful completion grants direct entry into the Advanced Diploma in Financial Markets (ADFM) program, without the need for Advanced Level (A/L) qualifications.
