Financial wastage, fraud, theft, irregularity, low-quality and inferior medicines, medical equipment, as well as concealment of information to the country, hunting of various professionals in the medical field who speak the truth, state repression, state terrorism, etc. Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the opposition leader, said today (13) that this government is engaged in a program to destroy the free health policy and it is equivalent to an act of terrorism.
Opposition leader Sajith initiated a historic breakthrough in the parliament to discuss the problems the country is currently facing and to reveal the truth to the country, for the first time in history, an opposition leader established a committee in the parliament. This committee met at room 8.
Through this committee, fencing of corruption frauds, making arrangements for paradigmatic governance, focusing on the measures to be taken in the respective fields as well as discussing the problems that have arisen in various fields is done. Opposition leader Mr. Sajith Premadasa said that the main objective of this committee is to reveal the truth to the country without a mere political agenda.
A delegation representing the Government Radiology Technologists Association, the Government Pharmacists Association, the Association of Medical Professionals for Civil Rights, the Institute of Health Professionals, etc. also participated in this event.

Also, the opposition leader further mentioned that 23 experts of the National Drug Regulatory Authority have been removed from it and the information has been hidden and some doctors have been suspended from their work when they presented the information.
The opposition leader said that the Ministry of Health hides information in a country that has the right to know information and promised to provide free legal assistance to health professionals and other professionals who come forward to speak the truth on behalf of the public to ensure the health of the people of this country.
All those who see and look away from all these thefts will be brought before the court under a government of united people front and legal action will be taken and since the people of the country have the right to know the information about the registration of minor drugs, that information should be presented to the people. The opposition leader said that people will have to go before the law and said that people who engage in criminal activities in deliberate wrongdoing, who knowingly bring inferior drugs and who lose human lives will be given severe punishments in the face of the law.
Opposition leader Mr. Sajith Premadasa said this today (13) while speaking at the opposition leader’s parliamentary committee. Here, the opposition leader further said that he is questioning the government about corruption, fraud, obtaining medicine at higher cost, damage to the country, drug fraud and that a big program will be implemented against this inside and outside the parliament.
He said that the government should correct these mistakes and will be vigilant until the correct solutions are taken and the serious collapse of the health system in this country could be the next human disaster and attention should be paid to this matter.
The opposition leader also said that the sectoral committees have the ability to bring not only ministry officials but also representatives of various associations and through that the truth can be uncovered.
