State Minister for Investment Promotion MP Dilum Amunugamage’s Coordinating Secretary for Women’s Affairs, Pre-School and Beauty Affairs has submitted a complaint to the Peradeniya Police saying that Professor Ranjith Bandara threatened to cut her mouth.

It is stated in the complaint that he threatened over the phone that he would come home and cut off his mouth from ear to ear if it was found to be true.

The secretary says that she is scared because of this statement as only she and her daughter reside at home.

Commenting on this, Professor Ranjith Bandara said that if such an incident had happened during the JVP terror period, he would have cut his mouth.

Professor Ranjith Bandara further said that he did not make such a threat.
