Controversy Unveiled: President’s Mandateless Global Agenda Sparks Concerns
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Dr. Charitha Hearth asserts that a president lacking a mandate, along with his advisor, travels to allied nations worldwide and engages in aid and various bilateral and mutual development initiatives.

Despite being rejected by the populace, the president gains entry into parliament and ascends to the highest echelons of the country through the votes of MPs. Subsequently, he appoints individuals who were spurned by voters to positions of authority, and they partake in these aforementioned activities.

This commentary by Dr. Charitha Hearth was featured in today’s X posting along with a newspaper clipping.

What is this? Neither this gentleman nor his president had any mandate. Surprisingly, the MPs who voted for his president at @parliamentLK didn't raise such crucial issues during the election campaign. How on earth did this kind of "politics" happen? #Politics #SriLanka pic.twitter.com/yrMmnQp8tl
