A complaint has been lodged with the police against a Colombo District Member of Parliament from the National People’s Power (NPP) in connection with the alleged theft of a Prado jeep. The complaint was filed by the MP’s wife, who is also a lawyer.

In the complaint, the wife alleges that her vehicle has been taken and is being used without her consent, with strong suspicions that it may be involved in illegal activities. She further claims that her ability to travel has been hindered due to her husband’s unauthorized use of the vehicle.

The complainant also accuses her husband of having an affair with another National People’s Power MP. Despite multiple warnings to end the affair, she alleges that he has not ceased the relationship. In response, she states that she has moved into her mother’s house, as she could no longer tolerate the situation.

The police have launched an investigation into the matter.
