The Colombo Magistrate’s Court today (23) issued a warrant for the arrest and production of former Member of Parliament Sajin Vass Gunawardena, following his failure to appear in court in connection with a case filed by the Inland Revenue Commissioner. The case pertains to the alleged evasion of income tax amounting to approximately Rs. 3.69 million.
