Charith Asalanka Named Captain of Sri Lanka’s Squad for India Series

Sports Minister Harin Fernando has approved the 16-member squad for Sri Lanka’s home series against India.

Charith Asalanka has been named Captain of the squad which also includes Kusal Janith Perera, Dinesh Chandimal and Chamindu Wickremesinghe  

India’s tour of Sri Lanka will kickstart with a three-match T20I series followed by a three-match ODI series.

Sri Lanka’s 16-member squad:

Charith Asalanka – Captain
Pathum Nissanka
Kusal Janith Perera
Kamindu Mendis
Dasun Shanaka
Wanindu Hasaranga
Mahesh Theekshana
Matheesha Pathirana
Nuwan Thushara
Dunith Wellalage
Dushmantha Chameera
Binura Fernando
Dinesh Chandimal
Avishka Fernando
Chamindu Wickremasinghe

The T20I series will be played at the Pallekele Stadium on July 27, 28 and 30 while the ODI series will be held on August 2, 4 and 7 at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
