There, when the Pohottu MPs interrupted the opposition leader and yelled, the opposition leader tried to continue his speech, but later Pohottu MPs came to the centre of the chamber and protested against it.
At that time, State Minister Mr Sanath Nishantha went close to the leader of the opposition and made threatening remarks, and it was seen that the opposition MPs were providing protection to Mr Sajith Premadasa and surrounded him.
The Speaker then adjourned the House for 5 minutes.
