MP Chaminda Wijesiri has stated that Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa is a stronger leader than former President Ranil Wickremesinghe and expressed confidence that he will be elected President at the 2029 Presidential Election.

Addressing a media briefing held yesterday (28), Wijesiri said that Sajith Premadasa is the only leader capable of accurately identifying the real problems faced by the people and providing practical solutions within the current political climate. He noted that the Opposition Leader’s approach is more people-oriented compared to certain measures implemented during Ranil Wickremesinghe’s tenure.

Wijesiri further stated that the public will increasingly rally behind the Samagi Jana Balawegaya in the years ahead. He emphasized that a victory in 2029 can be achieved with relative ease, particularly due to the strong trust placed in Sajith Premadasa by the youth and rural communities.

He also asserted that Sajith Premadasa already possesses the necessary program to steer the country out of the crisis it is currently facing.
