The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has reported that it is unable to make independent decisions regarding price revisions due to agreements with other companies involved in the fuel supply process.
This statement was made by the CPC Chairman, Mr. D.J. Rajakaruna, during a media conference held today (November 4).
When pressed by journalists about a claim that a commission of Rs. 50 is pocketed by the head of the corporation from oil sales, Mr. Rajakaruna, responding to a remark from Mr. Wasantha Samarasinghe, stated that he was not aware of such a practice.
