Rathnayake has joined the rally held in Divulapitiya today (24) afternoon to support Mr. Namal Rajapaksa, who was initially said would support Ranil Wickremesinghe in the presidential election. Mr. CB Ratnayake was the MP who received the second most votes from the Nuwara Eliya district in the last general election. He had received 70871 votes.
However, in the recent past, media friendly to the United National Party said that Mr CB Ratnayake would support President Ranil Wickremesinghe in the upcoming presidential election.
