Case heard in 2017! Perera was convicted! 20 lakhs paid for insult! Dulanjalee will sue Anura for defamation! Here is the letter that was sent! EXCLUSIVE

M/s. Dulanjalee  Premadasa, the sister of opposition leader Mr. Sajith Premadasa, has decided to file a case before the court against the leader of National People’s Force, Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake, based on making a false and malicious statement about her.

Mr. Farman J Cassim, president’s counsel, has sent the relevant letter to Mr Anurakumara Dissanayaka on February 22nd.

Ms. Dulanjalee Premadasa has decided to sue Mr. Anura Kumara in response to his public statements about the fake note printing incident in which Ms. Dulanjalee Premadasa was implicated.

J.M.A.K.R.M Perera was convicted in the court case decided by the High Court on May 22, 2017. High court judge Mr. Gihan Pilapitiya who sentenced the accused to pay a sum of Rs. 20 lakhs as defamation to Ms. Dulanjalee Premadasa.

Despite this, Mr Anura Kumara Dissanayaka made defamatory and derogatory statements about my client, Ms Dulanjalee Premadasa, on a public platform, and the facts will be filed in the courts, according to Mr. Casim, the president’s counsel. This is in relation to the defamation charges filed in court.
