He said this while answering some questions raised by journalists after a religious program held in Wellawatta area of Colombo yesterday (03).
He also mentioned that the current president has not asked for the support of his party so far.
In the meantime, answering a question raised by a journalist, he said that Mr Namal Rajapaksa, Member of Parliament, should wait for more time to run for the presidential election.
“Is there any hope of presenting young leadership in Pohottu?
“We are putting forward a candidate who can be young, middle class, or win.”
Is Mr Namal Rajapaksa eligible to be given the presidential candidacy? Are you expecting?
“I don’t expect the party make decisions.”

“He needs to stay a while.”
