The Canadian government has condemned the mob attack on a rally held in Trincomalee in memory of Thilipan.Sri Lanka Latest News
Gary Anandasangari, a powerful minister in the Canadian government, condemned the attack and said that the attack took place while the police were waiting.
The rally was organized by Member of Parliament Selvarasa Gajendran. A group of vehicles traveling displaying Thilipan’s image were attacked by mobs, and MP Selvarasa Gajendranda too was attacked.
Salma Zaheed, a member of the Canadian Parliament, had said that the implementation of the law against the mob is being delayed.
However, six of the thugs who attacked the Thilipan Samara rally were arrested by the police today, and they have been remanded in custody until the 21st of this month.
