A businessman who purchased five houses in the partially constructed Colombo Krish Building has lodged a complaint with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). The complaint, filed yesterday, alleges misconduct by former Senior DIG Ravi Vidyalankara, who headed the Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) during the previous Yahapalana government.

The businessman claims that Vidyalankara defrauded him of Rs. 7.5 million, which he alleges was taken under false pretenses. Speaking to the media, he further implicated former Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa, as well as individuals identified as Janaki, Piyumali, and others, in connection with the case.

The businessman disclosed that he has previously initiated seven legal cases related to the matter and reported the issue to the CID on 15 separate occasions. He emphasized the need for justice and accountability regarding the alleged fraud.
