Following a revelation made by former Minister Wimal Weerawansa, supported by video footage, that the Buddhist flag hoisted to mark the 2600th Buddha Jayanti during the Independence Day celebrations had been removed, steps have now been taken to re-hoist the Buddhist flag at the same location.
