Brigadier Mahinda Ranasinghe, former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s head of security, Army Special Forces officer, has recently been promoted from the rank of Brigadier to Major General.
It was Mr. Mahinda Ranasinghe who provided security to the Rajapaksa couple during the time they spent in the Maldives and Singapore after the ousting of Mr. Gotabhaya Rajapaksa from the presidential palace by the protesters on July 12.
