This investigation has been initiated to clarify how the estimates of the original engineers were changed to benefit China Harbor Engineering Corporation Limited (CHEC) during the awarding of the project.

In addition to the project head Mr. Selvanandan, the deputy project director Mr. PD Suriyabandara was also called separately.

Sources say that the commission recently received several files related to this bid.
