Former Chairman of the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation, Sarath Kongahage, and former Director General, Devapriya Abeysinghe, have been arrested by the Bribery Commission.
The arrests follow allegations that the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation suffered a loss of Rs. 14.32 million due to the recruitment of six employees outside the corporation’s approved staff. These employees were reportedly assigned to the personal staff of former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella.
