A bomb scare was reported this afternoon (28) at the Russian Embassy in Colombo, triggered by a suspicious laptop.
The incident unfolded when a foreign national arrived at the embassy, handed over a laptop, and immediately left the premises.
In response, the authorities swiftly summoned a team comprising members of the Special Task Force, the Bomb Disposal Unit of the Special Task Force, and officers from the Kurunduwatte Police to the scene.
Following preliminary investigations, the Kurunduwatte Police will continue to conduct further inquiries into the incident.
