The opposition leader mentioned that the Cabinet has taken a decision to curtail the powers of the Sports Minister and through the Sports Act; the Sports Minister has been empowered to appoint interim committees etc.
Mr Sajith Premadasa asked if he should get the approval of the Cabinet to make decisions about why he has been authorized by the Act.?
