Popular eatery joint The Rameshwaram cafe, often frequented by celebrities, witnessed a blast on Friday, 1 March. Reports say 10 people were injured.

Popular eatery joint The Rameshwaram cafe, often frequented by celebrities, witnessed a blast on Friday, 1 March. Reports say 10 people were injured. 

Karnataka deputy Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday confirmed that the Rameshwaram Cafe blast was caused by a low-intensity improvised explosive device.

The exact cause of the blast has not been determined yet.

Meanwhile, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Friday said that the Rameshwaram cafe blast is being investigated from all angles, adding that 7-8 teams have been formed to probe the incident.

Shivakumar also stated that a youth came and kept a small bag, which exploded after an hour.

“It was a low-intensity blast. A youth came and kept a small bag, which exploded after an hour. About 10 people received injuries. 7-8 teams formed to probe the incident. We are looking from all angles. I ask every Bangalorean not to worry,” he said.

Bengaluru’s Rameshwaram Cafe blast: The main culprit behind the bomb blast that took place at Bengaluru’s Rameshwaram Cafe has been identified on the CCTV camera recording. Based on the CCTV footage, the accused appears to be of 28 to 30 years of age, he visited the restaurant and ordered Rava idli at the cafe, said Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Friday.

The bomb blast, that occurred at Rameshwaram Cafe on Friday afternoon, left at least ten people injured. Earlier in the day, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had confirmed that the blast was caused by a low-intensity improvised explosive device
