Draws IGP’s attention to unlawful arrests
In a letter, BASL draws the IGP’s attention to civilian abductions occurring in various parts of the country using unidentified vehicles and being held in unidentified locations.
The bar association mentioned a few incidents and also reminded the IGP of the International Convention on the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance Act No. 5 of 2018, drawing his attention to sections 15 (1), (2) (3), and 16 (1) of said acts (a, b, c, d, e, f).
