Leader of the House Susil Premajayantha, Minister of Education, said in Parliament that as a measure to save the school children from drugs including ice, school children’s bags will be checked.
The minister who said that a circular will be issued on this matter, said that there were cases when kilos of heroin were caught being brought into the country and that a program was being implemented to take them among the school children in a very meticulous manner.
He said that strict action should be taken in this regard and the parents and the school community should pay close attention to this matter.
Our Jana Bala Party MP Athuraliye Ratana Thero said that the transportation of ice drugs is very easy and there is no law to prevent them.
