According to a latest report released by the National Audit Office, 950 tab computers and SIM cards given to the National Apprenticeship and Industrial Training Authority by a telephone service provider company in 2018 and 2021 were shared by officials holding various positions in the authority without any official approval. According to the report, no action was taken to recover the tab computers from 35 officers who left the service.
Meanwhile, the National Audit Office says that an officer who was recruited to the position of director of the institution contrary to the recruitment procedure and was playing a role outside of that purpose, has been paid more than twenty one lakh rupees in salary and allowances from July 2021 to August 2022.
Meanwhile, the office said that the computer system installed at a cost of 47 lakhs for the project of establishing a multi-purpose force of 100,000 skilled workers was not operational by December 31, 2022.
