Speaking to the media in front of the Drug Regulatory Authority, he mentioned that some of the authority’s files are currently being destroyed.
Speaking further, he made several accusations against the Executive Director of the Drug Regulatory Authority.
“The Executive Director remains within the Drug Regulatory Authority. He is destroying various files belonging to the Drug Regulatory Authority. Last night, this executive director came to the Drug Regulatory Authority and destroyed some files with a paper cutter. They have been put in bags.”
The Minister of Health, Dr. Ramesh Pathirana, had instructed the health authorities today (02) to obtain the approval of the National Drug Regulatory Authority in obtaining the necessary medicines and medical equipment in order to implement a formal health service in Sri Lanka.
