The Sri Lanka Human Rights Commission has filed a petition before the Supreme Court naming the Secretary of the Ministry of Power and Energy, the Chairman of the Electricity Board, and the Chairman of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation as the respondents.

A lawsuit has been filed due to the disconnection of electricity in violation of the agreement.
