Attention was paid to the provision of land rights to the people of the Northern and Eastern Provinces, the implementation of laws related to resettlement and reconciliation, the problems of Sri Lankans in refugee camps in India as well as many issues related to district development in the Northern and Eastern Provinces.
Members of Parliament representing Northern and Eastern Provinces R. Sambandan, S. Rasamanikyam, G. Karunakaran, Messrs.T. Kalai Arasan and Kulasingham Dileepan were present.
