Army Commander Meets Air Force Commander at SLAF Headquarters in Colombo

A significant meeting between the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo, and the Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe, took place on the morning of 04 July 2025 at the Sri Lanka Air Force Headquarters.

Upon arrival, the Army Commander was warmly received by the Commanding Officer of the Air Force Station Colombo, Air Commodore Buddhika Piyasiri. The visit was marked by a ceremonial guard of honour presented by the Air Force Colour Wing.

Following the official welcome, the two commanders engaged in a cordial discussion, reflecting the strong ties and mutual respect between the Army and Air Force. To commemorate the occasion, both leaders exchanged mementoes in the form of commemorative plaques.

Lieutenant General Rodrigo also took a moment to pen a commemorative note, marking the significance of the visit.

The event was further attended by the Chief of Staff of the Air Force and several senior members of the Air Force Board of Directors.
