The Supreme Court has decided to consider the fundamental rights petition submitted by Mujibur Rahman regarding the holding of the election next Tuesday.
Mujibur Rahman, who was contesting as the mayoral candidate for the Colombo Municipal Council from the Samagi Jana Balavega, had filed the petition asking to stop the interference by government officials in the election activities.
Meanwhile, speaking to the media today (23), Colombo mayoral candidate Mujibur Rahman of Samagi Jana Balavega said,
“What we have to see now is that the amount of resources needed to hold this election is not being provided. The people of this country must be mobilized against the Wickramasinghe Rajapaksa government. Definitely, I think we will have to solve this on the road.”
