Jaffna District Member of Parliament Mr. Selvaraja Kajendran was also present in this procession and he also joined the protest.
There, some protestors had attacked MP Kajendran in front of the police officers.
Meanwhile, another group of people there arranged to send the councillor away from the place on a motorcycle.

Police security was also deployed around the place after the incident.
