President and Leader of the SLPP Mahinda Rajapaksa with flowers and the Sinhala & Tamil New Year greetings. The former President sincerely thanked the Chinese government and people for continuously providing the most valuable assistance to Sri Lanka at all of its critical moments such as anti-terrorism wars, post-war reconstruction, fight against the COVID-19 epidemic in the last 3 years, and overcome the current economic crisis. The two sides also exchanged broad views on deepening the traditional friendship between the two countries and two peoples, strengthening exchanges and cooperation in various fields, and other issues of common interest.
