All Parties Oppose UNP’s Ballot Postponement Proposal, Calling It Undemocratic, Says Namal – Sri Lanka Latest News

Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna national organizer Namal Rajapaksa says that postponing elections is not compatible with any democracy.

Namal Rajapakse, commenting further said

Extending the term of the President and the Parliament harms the basic principles of a democratic country. When Mahinda Rajapakse was in power, the elections were held on time. The elections were not postponed. Namal Rajapaksa further said that political stability in a country should come from the will of the people and not by delaying their voices.
