All attempts to postpone the LG election have failed! This week, nominations will be sought! Vote prior to March 10! The commission’s chairman says

Attorney at law Mr Nimal Punchihewa, chairman of the Election Commission, stated that the gazette calling for nominations for the local government election will be published this week.

The Election Commission’s chairman stated that nominations must be accepted within three days of the publication of the gazette.

According to the election law, he added, voting must occur prior to March 10.
