Ali Zaheer Maulana, appointed as a member of parliament, attended the SJB parliamentary group meeting today. Mr. Nasir Ahmed, who left the Muslim Congress for a government position was expelled by the Muslim Congress and which decision was upheld by the Supreme Court recently. This meeting was held at the office of the opposition leader under the chairmanship of Mr Sajith Premadasa.
It has been learned that Mr. Ali Zahir Maulana has stated that he is ready to carry out political activities together with the opposition alliance led by Samagi Jana Balawegaya.
