Attorney General Sanjay Rajaratnam is due to retire from his post on June 26 upon reaching the retirement age of 60.
It is understood that he has already submitted all relevant documents in preparation for his impending retirement.
Mr Rajaratnam’s retirement comes after the Constitutional Council voted to reject a proposal by President
Ranil Wickremesinghe to extend his post as AG for six months.
