After two Rajapakses, Sarath Weerasekara now receives a notable position in the parliament.

Rear Admiral Dr. Sarath Weerasekera is appointed as the Chairman of the Sectoral Oversight Committee on National Security.

Earlier, the members of the government had also taken steps to appoint Mr. Chamal Rajapaksa and Mr. Namal Rajapaksa to two main committees.
