After the Easter attack, a stockpile of weapons, including 1000 swords, buried in the deep sea! Sri Lanka Latest News

After the Easter Sunday terror attack, over 1000 swords, bomb fragments, pointed weapons and other weapons confiscated by the security forces were submerged in the deep sea yesterday (20) and destroyed. (Sri Lanka Latest News)

The judicial personnel who have sailed along with the Navy officers have sunk this stock of weapons in the sea at a distance of 1000 nautical miles and at a depth of 1000 feet.

This was supervised by the Chief Magistrate Mr. Prasanna Alwis, Additional Magistrate Pasan, under the supervision of court staff including the court registrar, the case manager, has submerged and destroyed this stock of weapons. Thus, 1000 swords, daggers, pointed weapons, bomb parts, 08 guns and 10 stone-cut firearms were destroyed.

After the terrorist attack on Easter Sunday, the security forces seized these weapons from the suspects in various parts of the island and were in the custody of the courts as case goods.
