A fatal plane crash took place in Colombia killing three passengers last May 1st.

Four children under the age of 13, including a one-year-old baby, went missing after the plane crash.

It was further reported that they belonged to a Colombian indigenous community.

The mother of the missing children and the two pilots died in the crash.

After the accident, more than 100 Colombian special forces officers and a group of natives launched an operation to find the missing children.

Rescue officials predicted that the missing children would be safe after finding their footprints.

The Colombian President has said that they managed to find the missing children.

That was 40 days after the accident.

Authorities have arranged to take the found children to the military hospital for medical treatment by air.

Commenting on the incident, the Colombian President has said:

“The missing children were found after 40 days in an operation launched jointly by army officers and natives. Keeping children safe is an event that goes down in history. Their survival was due to the indigenous teachings they received.”
