Adani Green Energy has reportedly decided to withdraw from its planned $1 billion wind power project in Sri Lanka.
Despite securing most of the necessary approvals, the project has faced multiple setbacks, including unresolved environmental clearances and ongoing litigation in the Supreme Court, preventing its commencement.
The company has officially informed the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka about its decision, describing it as a “respectful withdrawal.” However, Adani Green Energy has expressed openness to pursuing future projects in the country.
