Amid swirling rumours regarding its renewable energy project in Sri Lanka, Adani Green Energy SL Ltd. has issued a firm statement dispelling claims of altering its agreement. Contrary to speculation, the company clarified that it has not offered to reduce the pricing to 7 cents per kilowatt-hour, labelling such claims as unfounded.
Reaffirming its dedication to the original agreement with the Sri Lankan authorities, Adani Green Energy emphasized that its investment plans and project parameters remain unchanged. While the company has withdrawn from a proposed wind project, the Adani Group expressed openness to consider future development opportunities in Sri Lanka, should the government extend an invitation.
The statement, attributed to an official spokesperson, underscored the company’s commitment to transparency and constructive collaboration with its partners.
